New Job Search Site

Well, no one here has been looking for a job recently. At least not for the last 5 months or so. We've been on most of the boards and the sites and the papers, etc. etc.

Now, there's a new one: GetTheJob.com What I like about GetTheJob.com is that they polled people ahead of time to find out what they don't like about most job boards, and they omitted the biggest complaint: headhunters, third party recruiters, and high-pay-promising-work-at-home scams. (I have seen one or two of those in my internet adventures in the past months.) GetTheJob.com only has actual companies looking for employees for their own jobs. And they have over 2 million listings.

A quick search of the phrase "part time" in my area yielded 9 pages of medical jobs and then a few more. Well, that's par for the course. But how do they have so many postings on such a new site? GetTheJob.com "indexes job postings directly from tens of thousands of company websites and organizes them into a searchable database."

All the real stuff without all the junk? Sounds good to me.

Terri,
Thanks for the kind words about our site. We're working hard on creating something entirely new - as far as job boards go. Keep an eye on us, you'll see even more improvements in the coming months.

Warmest Regards,
