Bleary Eyes, Swimming Head

Wow, I feel like I'm standing on the edge of a huge precipice. Late at night, after my husband and my baby have started sleeping, I surf, surf, surf, trying to figure out--can we make money online? We definitely are with PayPerPost, better than anything else I've found.

It's overwhelming. And just trying to read other people's blogs and figure it all out. It's a whole new world. And there are worlds inside these worlds. And I thought I knew a thing or two about the internet. I mean, I got my husband here. But man, it's crazy. I could do this all day and all night. But it's 2:05 am and I should have been asleep a long time ago.

NOT a paid post.

Must go to sleep.

Days go by too fast. And nights too.

SOMEONE, publish my husband!

I feel I am learning a whole new language. IE vs. Firefox. WordPress. De.lic.ious ? DiggIt? Technorati. Blogosphere. Bloggernity. IM. PM. AIM. Second Life. Embed. Link. Share. Rate. And what is that crazy stuff called you have to type in that proves you are a person and not automated spam? It will come to me later, as I'm lying next to ZV having to pee because I didn't get up and go to the bathroom and go to bed 10 minutes ago or 30 minutes ago or 60 minutes ago or better. Good thing I don't have a job. ha ha ha.

(I should have linked all that stuff up there, but I can't possibly. Sorry, technorati. ha ha ha--a joke for the geeks in the audience. I'm sure technorati will miss my link.)

Even if we won the lottery tomorrow, I don't know if I could stop learning all this. I am most likely safe as we have not played the lottery in months and months. But this feels a bit like a lottery.

Must sleep.

But blogs are rolling.

How many blogs can I read?

How many online friends can I make?

How many profiles for how many different blogs can I create?

How many community sites?

Will anyone click my ads? (I realize there aren't any on this page. Maybe there will be soon.)

Do I need my very own website? I feel it coming.

Could I have a blog called Publish My Husband? That seems funny to me.

I've never been so prolific in my life.

Push button publishing. It's so addictive. It's so serendipitous and synchronous. No one could find you or everyone could find you. On any given day. Or just the right person could find you. And probably will. I think that is my favorite part of all this.

Going to bed now.
More tomorrow.
From my bleary, WorldWideWebweary mind.

Hehe sounds like you've got a case of Blogitis, coined by my friend Morgen at It's a Blog Eat Blog World ( I saw your postings on the PPP board and followed you here. I'll be your new blog friend!

FYI, those crazy things you have to type in are called captchas.

I've had a blog for over five years, but I've only recently started participating in any blogging communities and trying to get my blog noticed. PayPerPost is definitely helping a lot in that respect. It is a lot to take in! You're doing great!

I've definitely made a lot of online friends lately. I'll be stopping by regularly!

Blogitis. Yes. Doctor, is there a cure?

Captchas! Mm hmm. I cannot go to a blogging conference any time soon, because even if I remember that word, I don't know how to pronounce it!

Thanks ladies. Nice to see you here. Thanks for stopping by!
